Let's hike Herman Gulch this Saturday. We will meet at the trailhead at 7:30 and get on the trail about 7:45. This is a great hike with a lake at top. I'm hoping there will still be some wildflowers since we've been getting afternoon showers.

Take I-70 to exit 218, turn right and you are there. The trailhead is the only thing at this exit. I drive a white Ram Promaster van and will be in the parking lot.

I live in Georgetown and will drive to the trailhead. Carpooling is encouraged from the Denver area. Please make carpooling arrangements in the comments section if you are coming from the Denver area. Wooly Mammoth Park-N-Ride is a place I used a lot whenever I lived in the Denver area.

We can get some lunch in Georgetown at Cooper's on the Creek afterwards. I will make a reservation to sit outside by the creek on Friday.

All Trials review has the hike stats listed as follows:
Length: 6.3 miles long
Elevation gain: 1,738 ft
Route type: Out & back.

Please be aware the elevation and thinner air may create some challenges. Know your limits and dress appropriately for the weather.

Items to bring include: sunscreen, hat, hiking shoes, rain gear, food bars or trail mix, trekking poles, and water.

COVID symptoms: If you are sick or have been around anyone with Covid over the last 2 weeks, please wait for the next hike.

I'm not a professional guide. By signing up or attending this event, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your own safety, are aware of the risks, and will do the necessary research to understand the conditions of this hike and the gear you will require.

I look forward to seeing everyone Saturday!
