I didn't get my hike or Schnitzelbank last weekend, so let's try this again.

We'll meet at Hemlock Cliffs, near English, Indiana at 9:00am eastern. If you don't know about Hemlock, you're in for a pleasant surprise! Here is a link to their website with a description of the place https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/hoosier/recreation/recarea/?recid=41570

This is a short hike of a mile but it's mostly one big photo op. There are rock houses and cliffs and many other rock formations here. Since it's winter and there aren't leaves on the trees, we'll see more of the rock formations than we would during fair weather. I'm hoping that we'll get to see some large ice formations along our hike.

After our hike, we're heading over to Jasper to one of my favorite German restaurants in Indiana, Schnitzelbank. They have great food and possibly a buffet. It's been a couple of years since I've been there and I feel the need for some schnitzel. Come on out!

Note: Please let me know if you're coming to the restaurant. If we get enough people, I'll go ahead and make us a reservation.

After lunch, if you're still ready for some more hiking, I'm thinking of heading over to YELLOW BIRCH RAVINE. I don't know anything about the place other than seeing people posting some amazing pictures. Let's check it out together.

WARNING: This is a COLD WEATHER hike. We'll be down in a box canyon so wind shouldn't be much of a factor, but it will be cold. ICE could also be a concern. Please know your abilities and plan for a safe hike. I'm bringing my trekking poles and microspikes, just in case.

If you have any comments or questions, post 'em up. I hope to see a ton of you out there!
