Let's Bike Indy with Lunch at the Rathskellar

80 and partly cloudy. Let's explore Indy by bicycle!
The Plan:
We'll meet at 10:00am eastern at Rusted Moon Outfitters in Broad Ripple. We'll head to the Canal Towpath and ride downtown. We'll check out some points of interest along the way (The original Long's Donuts, Naval Armory, etc.). After we've explored downtown a bit, we'll head over to the Rathskellar. The Rathskellar is an excellent German restaurant in downtown Indy. They have great food and a beer garden out back with live music on the weekends.
Once we finish at the Rathskellar, we'll head up the Monon back to Broad Ripple. On the way back, we'll make a stop at the Indiana State fair and do a little exploring. They have a secured bike check station next to the trail. Once we've finished at the fair, we have an approximate 3 mile ride back to our cars.

NOTE:
If you aren't sure about the distance, I can meet you downtown at the restaurant to shuttle you and your bike to Rusted Moon. Then you'll only be riding around 13 miles or so. I'm guessing our total mileage will be a little over 20. We don't ride fast and stop as needed.
WARNINGS:
It's going to be sunny and there will be NO SHADE. Please plan accordingly with hat, sunblock, and fluids.
Indy has had flooding earlier this week. My only concern with that is the condition of the Canal Towpath. It could still be holding water or muddy. I'll scout it out on the way up in the morning. If it is muddy, we'll take the Monon downtown and back.
