What we’re about
Welcome to Adventures with Rick!
We are a group of friendly, inclusive, fun loving sociable types who enjoy getting out and about doing a variety of activities in the company of both old and new friends alike. Games and picnics around a firepit on the beach, cycling, sailing, lunches, dinners, bowling, live music and entertainment events, football golf, pitch and putt and maybe whatever else you might like to suggest...? If you have any ideas about something different that you might like to do, please tell us. We may not have thought of it yet and it might be something we could all enjoy doing together! The founding members are from far flung parts of Cornwall and so events are not limited to one specific area.
Our leader Rick, has been a well loved member of several different Meetup groups for many years and is well versed in what’s needed to run a successful group. He’s an upbeat, happy, warm, friendly and sociable character who has the ability to make everybody feel instantly welcome and comfortable. The existing members also look forward to welcoming you, so do come along. We are sure you will be glad you did!
In the past we have requested a contribution of £1 per event from all attending members to go towards the costs of running the Meetup page. There have been many contributions since the start up of the group and we are proud and happy to be able to report that we have made a sizeable donation to Cornwall Air Ambulance during this time. But going forwards, because there is still so much money in the kitty from past contributions, Rick has decided to give back to the group and make it free to everybody for as long as the funds cover expenses. We foresee this to be for years to come! So please come and enjoy all events free of charge!
We have just a couple of requests;-
* That you please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to make it to an event you've signed up for.
* That you please not attend if you or anybody in your household has shown symptoms of Covid-19 or has tested positive in the last 10 days.
We look forward to meeting up with you soon.
