The Lost City of Colombia and the Caribbean Coast

Deep in the heart of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta Mountains lies the pre-hispanic Jewel of the Lost City, "Teyuna" This magical UNESCO city originally inhabited by the Tayrona people, was an ancient cultural center with more than 200 structures, roads, stairs, canals, houses, plazas, and ceremonial buildings and was inhabited for several centuries before the arrival of the Spanish Conquistadors.
Our trip starts in the romantic Caribbean coastal town of Santa Marta the oldest city in Colombia, fringed by beautiful beaches and colourful villas.
We take a 4x4 and drive to the trailhead at Mamey, this terrific journey takes us on an adventure through some of the most biodiverse jungles on planet Earth.
The indigenous guides lead us along ancient trails through dense forests, full of monkeys, wild orchids, and thousands of types of trees, we will see many colourful birds including parrots and toucans we cross rivers, pass waterfalls, climb ancient hidden mossy steps and swim in crystal clear rivers, warmed by the midday sun before arriving at the Lost City.
Trekking through this magical place full of relics the guides will recite ancestral stories and tell us the history of "Teyuna", before returning to the path and our descent to Mamey for a well-deserved beer. We return to Santa Marta to relax and explore the Tayrona national park with some of the best beaches in South America, before returning home.

Spend a long weekend snowshoeing through Transylvania's winter wonderland, uncovering its natural beauty and the Baroque and Gothic architecture of Brasov, a stunning walled medieval city that will be our home base.
Your adventure will showcase the breathtaking Carpathian Mountains, a range that slices through Romania and hosts some of Europe's wildest trails. Explore wild forests, ancient fortresses, and timeless villages that seem straight out of a fairy tale.
Transylvania is rich in folk legends and has inspired countless stories over the centuries. Among its many attractions, you'll visit the legendary Bran Castle, famously known as the home of Count Dracula. Get ready for an unforgettable weekend adventure in the breathtaking Snowdonia National Park, the largest and most spectacular park in Wales! Eryri (Snowdonia) offers a stunning variety of natural beauty, from rugged mountains and serene lakes to rushing rivers and charming villages like Betws-y-Coed and Beddgelert. This stunning park is crowned by Snowdon, the tallest mountain in Wales and England, standing proudly at 1,085 meters
Our base for the weekend will be in the village of Llanberis, just a five-minute stroll from the vibrant town center, where you'll find a range of pubs, shops, and eateries. It’s the perfect spot to relax and prepare for our classic hiking adventures.
From Llanberis, you'll have easy access to a variety of scenic trails. Hike up Snowdon along the famous Llanberis Path for incredible panoramic views, or explore the lesser-known but equally stunning Moel Eilio ridge. The Glyders offer a more challenging adventure with rugged peaks, while a stroll around the picturesque Llyn Padarn provides a peaceful escape. With so many trails and breathtaking landscapes, there’s something for every type of adventurer to discover in Snowdonia!

INCLUDES: 3 nights dormitory accommodation, 3 breakfasts, 2 pack lunches, BBQ evening. 2 guided hikes.

Drive to Llanberis. stopping en route for food. Approx 6 hrs driving,
Saturday/Sunday Hiking, there is a huge variety of hikes in the area, including the ascent of Snowdon, we will pick hikes according to the weather, and group ability, there will be two hike leaders so plenty of options.
Monday: 10:00 depart hostel 11:00 Free morning in Betws y Coed 13:00 depart for St Albans, stopping en route for a break. approx return to St Albans 19:30
