In this western NC Halloween weekend camping trip, we'll explore the Blue Ridge Parkway and hike Craggy Pinnacle including Craggy Gardens then go to the Visitor Center. We'll also hike to Catawba Falls waterfall and car camp at Curtis Creek Campground. On Sunday, on our way home, we'll hike the Linville Falls waterfall trail at Linville Gorge to see the fall colors there as well. I'll have Halloween candy to share on this trip.

Important Information before you RSVP:
-I've booked an extra campsite that can fit up to two 2-person tents. The first two people to RSVP can use that campsite. Campsite rate is $18. Once you RSVP, I'll let you know if you are one of the two campers that can use the extra campsite
-Go to Recreation.gov to book any additional campsites at Curtis Creek Campground.
-The first two campsites are close to each other so we can carpool if needed
-Please respond to any messages I send to you. Failure to respond will result in your RSVP being removed. A history of no-shows or late cancellations may affect your RSVP

We'll meet in the Chapel Hill area. I'll post the meeting by Wednesday night. Please share the cost of gas with your drivers.

Don't forget to bring your camping equipment, food, water and snacks, daypack and clothing layers (jacket, gloves, hat).
Our first destination will be Craggy Pinnacle which is about 4hrs away. From there we will continue our adventure then check-in at the campground by 5PM to set-up and hang out and eat dinner at the campground. I'll leave open the option to have dinner in Black Mountain or Asheville. Sunday morning we'll pack up our campsite, drive to Linville Falls, then head home.
