6th Annual DachSand (Sept 2025) - Seaside, OR

Come for the fun, camaraderie, and to help fundraise for a good cause. In 2024, the weather was great and there were almost 350 Dachshunds in attendance.

DachSand is a huge fundraising event organized HOSTED BY DOXIES OF THE PNW. There will be a silent auction, raffle baskets, 50/50 raffle, dachshund items made by my uncle Bob-decorated by board members, merch table, doxie races, costume contest and more….

In addition to the DachSand schedule of events , AWC club members will touch base with each other throughout the weekend event. See the bold text below.

Here is the general schedule, which is subject to change as the event schedule is finalized.

FRIDAY 09.05
~ 3pm to 5pm - Ruby's for dinner. There will be dog activities, raffle baskets, treats (human & ween) and also limited number of goodie bags! AWC members will gather in the grass behind the restaurant and set up our chairs in a group on the grass (bring your camp chairs, you'll want them for the bonfire later).
~ 7:30pm - Bonfire on the beach, south of the roundabout just 30ft or so away from the ramps, just look for weenies and fire lol. We will supply hot dog stuff, smores stuff & sticks. Bring whatever else you want to. Bring your own drinks (alcohol is allowed, no glass ), a blanket, chairs, etc to sit and hangout. We plan to be out there at least 2-4 hrs so come anytime, if the fires still burning come on down.

SATURDAY 09.07
11:30am Let's gather near where the group photo will be taken so we can all stand together in one area for the pic. Wear your Adventurewiener shirts if you have em'
~ 12pm - Group photo (meet in the sand across from the Aquarium)
~ 12:30pm - DachSand 2024, meet in the sand across from the Aquarium. There will be a merch table, sign in books, raffle baskets, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, random giveaways, costume contest and weener races.
~ 1:30pm - Last call for raffles/auction and gather up for the drawings
~ 2pm - All drawings
~ 3pm - 5pm - Competitions!! Races (limited to 100) and costume contests on the beach! Registration will be in online & in person, and until 1:30pm Saturday. ***wait list signup will open up to 15 people at 1pm and we will go to it starting at 1:30pm if there are openings.
~ 6pm - Gather up all your doxies and head downtown. Walk, mingle, shop and eat. Lets show off those weeners!!

SUNDAY 09.08
~ 9am - Beach walk hosted by Adventurewiener Club, meet at the ramps to the south of the roundabout.
~ 11am - Tour the Aquarium, free tray of fish to feed the seals per doxie again this year!
