New Zealand stunt coordinator and fight choreographer Peter Hassall will train twelve Adventure Wellington members for 3 hours on medieval sword fighting techniques. In addition to his film work (including motion capture for Lord of the Rings and being the stunt coordinator of "Braindead"), Peter has performed over 250 sword and staff fights.
The lesson structure: You will start with lengths of broomhandle, then alternate with light prop swords. Then you will graduate to steel (unsharpened) swords made by Lord of the Rings weapon maker, Peter Lyon.
