Hack and Tell
Details
Bring out your projects-in-progress, your gadgets-of-pride, and your experiments-gone-awry. Hack and Tell is for sharing cool technology hacks you've learned, done and intend to achieve.
What makes something a hack? Despite the negative association, we intend hacking in the sense of "making something work in a way other than how it was expected to be used". So bring in your kid's toy piano which now orchestrates custom LEDs in time to the music. Show us what your learned on your Arduino. And share how you turned your hand drill into a mini go kart motor.
Hack and Tell will follow a "Maker Faire" style. Tables will be made available on a first-come-first-served basis. The Best Hack will get recognized and offered an opportunity to be the "keynote speaker" for the following Hack and Tell. The Best Hack award will be granted arbitrarily by myself (Mike) but strongly influenced by ingenuity, presentation and public votes.
Hack and Tell is regularly scheduled for the first Thursday of each month. If the day falls on a holiday, we will notify you in advance of rescheduling via Meetup (so be sure to RSVP).
