This event's topic is "25 years of Motion Graphics". With guest speakers Jamal Qutub and Danny Rubyono. Jamal and Danny will share their industry experience, how motion graphics has evolved, and what it was like to work with After Effects 4.0.

Jamal Qutub (he/him) is a director, designer, and animator, living and working remotely in Portland, Oregon. He’s passionate about design, 3D, and animation and loves problem-solving and collaborating with others, whatever it takes to arrive at the most creative and impactful solution.
He’s currently working full-time at Instrument as an Associate Creative Director where he leads the Visual Craft team, an internal studio of designers, animators and illustrators. On the side, he’s Creative Director at Nimpsy Studio, a minority-owned business, where he designs, creates, and produces motion for all kinds of screens.

Danny Rubyono brings an innovative and fresh approach to the strategic process and execution of story-telling through a broad spectrum of creative content solutions. Born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia and earned Master of Art in computer art and motion design from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). His multi-disciplined skills, combined with unique design perspective give him the essential tools to problem solve any design challenges.
Danny has more than 22 years of extensive experience managing team across all disciplines including motion graphics, print, brand identity, user interface, and environmental design. He has garnered multiple awards both in commercial and experimental work.
