Info session & planning meeting

DevOps seems to be a really hot topic right now. However exactly what DevOps is a topic of debate. Some say it's all about tools, others say it's about bringing system administrators and developers together by breaking down walls. That's why I want to get a regular meetup going, to bring people together to share their experiences with using the various tools, methods, and philosophies that make up this movement in IT called DevOps.

This meeting is to lay the foundation for the DevOpsCV meetup.

The agenda:

• What topics should we cover? - Let's brainstorm a list of topics that make up DevOps.

• A call for speakers - If you know someone or want to speak your self, let us know.

• A call for co-organizers - It's just me right now, so I'm looking for a little help.

• A call for sponsors - If you want to sponsor this meetup, let me know.

• Pick a date for the first DevOpsCV meetup.

I'm personally really excited to be involved in getting a regular DevOps meetup up and running in the Charlottesville area, and I hope you are too. If you are please try to make this meeting. If you can't make it, but still want to be involved, let me know.
