Quoting Jesse's description from the Haskell group:
"Hi All,
Super excited to announce that we have Miran Lipovaca coming over from Slovenia to speak to the group.
Miran wrote Learn You a Haskell for Great Good! the definitive beginner's guide for the Haskell programming language.
Miran is going to be talking about Snap. In his own words, "An intro to Snap, what it's about and why it's cool and how to make dynamic websites in it." Should be a great talk!
Before Miran's talk we are going to do lighting talks on Scala, Erlang and Clojure (7 min talk followed by 3 mins of Qs):
Clojure: Compiling Clojure to Native C and iOS with Nathan Sorenson
Scala: Introduction to Scala: A brief overview of the Scala language and its ecosystem with Ola Wiberg
Erlang: Erlang typing with Yurii Rashkovskii (who is also hosting an Erlang Tutorial the next day)
See you there
ps. we are also going to have copies of Miran's book to give away courtesy of the good folks at BCIT . Miran will also be at the Polyglot Conference that same weekend doing an intro to Haskell talk, might want to grab a ticket for that too!"
