SketchUp Best Practices

Details
Dave Richards will take us through a simple modeling exercise as a means to explore alternate approaches to modeling. He will also share some of his own best practices for using SketchUp. Please bring a laptop with SketchUp in order to take part in the exercise.
Dave's day job is taking care of life support equipment but he's always had an interest in art and woodworking. About eight years ago Dave discovered SketchUp and realized its potential as a tool for woodworkers. Not long after starting to work with the program, he found himself answering questions from other woodworkers who were using it. Since then he's been teaching others to use the program and he's an authorized SketchUp trainer. For the past 4 or 5 years Dave has been a contributor to the Design. Click. Build. blog on FineWoodworking.com. He also uses SketchUp and LayOut to draw woodworking plans for them as well as other clients.
Dave lives in Rochester with his wife and son."
