June 2013 - Presentation

Statera is a couple of blocks west of I-25 and Belleview, in the DTC area. The building has a green roof and is on the northeast corner of Belleview and Monaco. Enter through the east side of the building, and Statera is in suite 300. There is free parking in the lot.

The building locks up at 6 pm. We'll put a sign up with a number to call, for latecomers that arrive.

This month, we will have two short talks, and one main presentation.

The first short talk will be Robert Bingham discussing Platino by Lanica, a gaming engine for Titanium. The second talk will be Vui Nguyen and her husband, Eric Richardson, presenting our app idea with wireframes and requesting feedback from a marketing and business perspective.

Our main presentation will be Andrew Corliss discussing User Interface Design for Appcelerator Titanium.

Talk Synopsis:

We will go over how to create stunning, unique, and usable applications in Titanium. We will use the latest code from Appcelerator focusing on the Alloy MVC framework. Going over pros and cons of using density per pixel, pixels, and exact measurements for placing graphics on the UI and also demonstrate real and simple code for making a clean interface on tabs, windows, or views with explanations of using each.
