(The following is from a source that gives this movie a four star rating) Marilyn Monroe is ideally cast as a sexy model who lives in the same apartment building as a happily married man (Tom Ewell) who finds himself thinking and living like a bachelor when his wife goes on a prolonged summer vacation. Billy Wilder handles both his stars expertly and the result is high style comedy.

MEETING UP

I will be at the AFI at 3:00, and I’ll be in the lobby standing in the back right corner. To improve the chance of spotting me, I’ll be wearing a red shirt like the one in my photo (and I’ll also have a small Meetup sign on an over-the-shoulder pack that I’ll be wearing). At about 3:15 we can go into the theatre to take our seats. The movie will start at 3:30.
Also note that since the film may play in the smallest theatre, Theatre 3, I would like to pass through the ticket scanner promptly at 3:15 to ensure getting the best seats possible. If you are running a bit late and I am no longer in the entrance lobby, look for me inside the viewing theatre and close to the door that brings you in, and again look for red.

AFTER THE FILM

Meet just outside the viewing theatre so we can trade notes about what we just saw. Then, if there is interest, we can go to Sweetgreen to talk about film and anything else that comes to mind.
