Meetup Group Description
I took over this meetup to create a community for people that are intentional about traveling to Africa. This is essentially a travel group for people that are eager to discover Africa and its various cultures but also want to learn and engage in business opportunities while discovering the motherland. Why can’t we learn about business while traveling for pleasure?
This group is for you if you are comfortable with group travel, if you want to learn more about African culture through food, art, customs, business and of course travel. I strive to create a community where people can get to know each other and communicate openly. Join the group with the intention of being an active member and participating in the growth of the community.
This group will have both in person and virtual meetings.
The business aspect of this group is to build a bridge between aspiring and seasoned entrepreneurs from America and their counterparts in Africa.
This group’s headquarters is in New York City so most meetups that do not involve travel will take place in New York. There will be virtual meetups that all members can attend regardless of your geographic location.
A little bit about me and why I’m creating this group. My name is Ayite aka “Cediced”, I grew up in the motherland and I’ve spent 20+ years in New York. I used to work in Finance but I hung my corporate suit to create a startup in the travel and hospitality sector in Africa. I have visited Congo DRC Nigeria, Rwanda, Kenya, Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire and Senegal to name a few and I hope to travel to other places with you guys over time. Every trip I have taken has offered a unique experience and there’s so much to learn in each country. I hope to meet you all and tell you more about me and the experiences I am creating for you.
