• Day 1: Arrival Nairobi, Kenya
• Welcome to Kenya! Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be warmly received by a representative of Journey Quest Safaris with our signature welcome—refreshing bubbly, cool scented towels, and a special gift: an authentic safari hat and a beautifully crafted canvas pouch filled with essential safari items. After this delightful reception, you'll be transferred to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay.

• Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to the world-renowned Masai Mara. This region remains one of the few places in Kenya where wildlife can still be seen in the same breathtaking abundance as it was a century ago.

Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed by your camp representative and enjoy a game viewing drive en route to the camp. After check-in and a relaxing lunch, set out on an afternoon shared game drive across the vast, wildlife-rich plains of the Mara.

Famed for the legendary Big Five—lion, leopard, Cape buffalo, savanna elephant, and black rhino—the Masai Mara was once the ultimate destination for early 20th-century big-game hunters. Today, it's a photographer’s and nature lover’s paradise, home to an incredible variety of wildlife including impalas, Maasai giraffes, waterbucks, warthogs, topis, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, and the ever-present wildebeests.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay amid the sounds of the wild.

Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve
During your stay, enjoy two shared game drives each day across the wildlife-rich plains of the Masai Mara. Keep an eye out for the iconic Big Five—lion, African elephant, Cape buffalo, leopard, and black rhino. With a bit of luck, you may even witness the thrilling chase of a cheetah or leopard on the hunt.

Return to the lodge each evening for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.

Optional Activity: Balloon Safari Today’s adventure begins just before dawn as the balloon crew prepares for flight, the glow of burners lighting up the early morning sky. As the sun rises, your hot air balloon gently lifts off, offering a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the Masai Mara. Glide silently over the savannah, watching wildlife below—from lions and elephants to startled baboons in the treetops. The peaceful stillness is broken only by the occasional roar of the burners or distant sounds of the wild.

After landing, enjoy a champagne breakfast served in the bush, followed by a game drive back to camp—perhaps encountering the same animals seen from above. A personalized flight certificate is presented as a memento of this unforgettable experience. Return to camp for a relaxing lunch and a well-earned rest.

• Day 5: Departure Nairobi, Kenya

Enjoy an early breakfast before checking out this morning. As all great journeys must eventually come to an end, it’s time to bid a heartfelt kwaheri (goodbye) to your gracious Camp Manager and their wonderful team. You'll then be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Ukunda, Mombasa (Optional Not Included).
