The Sound of Us: A Musical Exploration of African American Art

Details

Experience a powerful concert that weaves together visual art and music, inspired by the exhibition The Time Is Always Now: Artists Reframe the Black Figure. Thoughtfully selected artworks from the exhibition, curated by Maya Brooks, will be paired with live musical performances, offering a dynamic exploration of its themes.

Tenor Corey Leak—celebrated for his breathtaking performances—brings the art to life, promising a deeply moving and unforgettable experience that will resonate long after the final note. Presented by the Triangle Friends of African American Arts. Admission: $24.86 (Includes taxes & fees).

The concert begins at 2:00pm, but we'll gather in front of the outreach table at 1:40 pm to "Meet & Greet" and get seats together. To purchase tickets, go to www.africanamericanarts.org.

This performance will sell out! Get your tickets today!
