Join the nation in the 48th Anniversary of 'Bloody Sunday'.
On March 7, 1965 non-violent marchers were beaten and trampled by horses on the Edmund-Pettus Bridge, Selma, AL. They were protesting the physical and psychological abuse of black people attempting to register to vote. This protest led to the passing of the voting rights act.
