Jeppestown is possibly Johannesburgs oldest suburb,
with many places of interest :
- the mosaics at Maboneng Precinct by artist H. Coetzee
- the Jooste & Bryants Building ( Victorian )
- the Jozi Mall - Somali shops
- old Jewish shops & homes
- the scene of 2008 xenophobic attacks
- the Anglican Church - Joburg's oldest building 1888
- locations used in the movie : Long Walk to Freedom
- traditional herbalist shops
- the oldest Lithuanian Shul in JHB : 1903 -1926
- scene of the Jeppestown massacre ; 2006
- the Jeppestown synagogue : 1926 - 2002
- the Salisbury building :1903
- the School of Practical Philosophy
- the Mentis Building ( Art Nouveau )

We return to the Maboneng Precinct for lunch at any of
the many restaurants in the Maboneng Precinct
