May Book Discussion

Hey everyone! I hope you've been well :)

I'm thrilled to be back to the book club fresh with ideas for some exciting meet-ups!

For our May gathering, I'd love for you to join me for a "virtual book swap" and lively discussion. At a virtual book swap, everyone "brings" a book they've already enjoyed to discuss/suggest with the group. This month's theme is contemporary fiction by African-American authors, but feel free to bring your passion for any book that's recently swept you off your feet!

Additionally, I'm introducing a new author showcase to the club! Each month, (If someone has shown interest) we'll welcome a new author of ethnic descent to share their work with us. It'll be a fantastic opportunity to discover fresh voices and hidden gems.

Lastly, speaking of expanding horizons, since this meetup is virtual, I'm excited to open up the book club to members in other locations! We'll be welcoming readers from other cities and picking a brand new book to tackle together in June - the perfect way to jumpstart summer.

P.S. If you have any suggestions for amazing authors to feature, let me know! They can be self-published, ect. Keep in mind, to ensure a good fit for our group, I'll have a quick one-on-one chat with the author beforehand.
