What we’re about
This group is for any one that has a connection to an African Heritage and interested in building positive relationships with others here in Chicago and from around the world. Our mission is to create a common bond of language, culture and economic exchange. We expect members of our group to travel, meet African descendants from around the world and support each other socially and economically. We further expect our members to join in our efforts to minimize the impact of racism, sexism and discrimination on people of African heritage.
Our activities will include public service projects, educational opportunities and social outings. For those that have a passion for teaching and learning other languages, our group is a perfect choice for you as well.
We expect to partner with other organizations with like minded members, such as Afros Unidos in Medellin Colombia to further our efforts to promote travel and international relationships
Lastly, we believe in community investment and giving back to the places in our lives that motivate and put us on the path to a healthier, happier and wealthier existence.
