About us

Do you feel uncanny kinship with Elphaba — the one who’s always been called “different,” who saw the world askew and refused to bend until she made it better? If your life, your instincts, or the scars you carry echo that story, you belong here.

Who this is for
A sacred, in-person circle for Black women — Black-American, Caribbean-rooted, African-born, diasporic — who are drawn to witchcraft, ancestral wisdom, and the healing power of feminine-centered practice. This is for the Black women who have felt othered much of their lives, who won’t accept spoon-fed history, who dig deep, and who are ready to transform trauma into fierce beauty and collective power. Capacity is intentionally small: only 150 members total (all ages) so that real sisterhood can breathe and deepen.

What we honor
We center practices that reclaim and revive African-derived and Afrocentric ways of knowing — ritual, plant wisdom, divination, oral histories, moon-cycle work, grounding, and more. We lean into the magic of the feminine — by which we mean receptive, cyclical, embodied, relational, and restorative modes of power (sometimes called “yin” principles). Politically: we have decentered patriarchal frameworks in our spiritual and social thinking because we know that feminist, woman-centered leadership is essential to lasting social change. We honor men’s strengths while intentionally creating space to explore feminine modes of power that have been marginalized.

Our intention
To hold a brave, tender, practical, and discerning space where Black women:
-Transform trauma through inner-child work, ceremony, somatic practices, and witness.
-Learn and practice divination, ancestor communication, and grounding rituals.
-Read, discuss, and challenge books and histories together.
Reconnect with nature through moonlit gatherings, small bonfires, tending plants, and nature retreats.
-Travel together occasionally for soul journeys and ancestral pilgrimage.
-Practice mutual care, confidentiality, and consent — no “mean-girl” energy; empaths and introverts are also lovingly welcomed.

How we move
This is a co-created circle. I am the founder and ALSO learning — I show up as a fellow seeker, not an all-knowing teacher. We expect members to participate with humility, curiosity, and generosity: bring what you can, teach what you are able, and receive what you need. Leadership rotates, offerings are shared, and learning is mutual.

What you can expect
-Monthly in-person gatherings (ritual, study, practice).
-Smaller affinity pods for books, inner-child work, divination practice, and nature outings.
-Occasional weekend retreats and local field trips.
Clear guidelines around safety, consent, silence, and confidentiality so our circle remains emotionally secure.

A gentle request
Come ready to be responsible for your own healing while holding others. This is not therapy, but it is a transformational container where growth is supported by community. Be kind, be curious, and leave competition at the door.

If Elphaba’s cadence hums in your bones — if you are tired of being told to fit and instead want to gather, learn, and conjure with women who see you — this is for you. We’re intentionally capped at 150 sisters so intimacy and real relationship can flourish. If this calls to you, bring your grief, your joy, your questions, and your fierce care. Let’s make magic that heals us and helps change the world.
