What we’re about
AfroLit is a space where we show love to Black stories, Black voices, and Black brilliance. Every month, we crack open books that make us feel seen, challenge how we think, and remind us just how rich our culture is. We read it all—novels that keep you up at night, essays that get you fired up, poetry that hits you in the chest, and plays that make you laugh and think at the same time. From the OGs like Toni Morrison and James Baldwin to the new wave of storytellers redefining the game, we come together to vibe, unpack, and celebrate our stories in all their glory. This isn’t just a book club—it’s community, culture, and conversation.
