AfroServing "Thanksgiving Super Prep" Give-Back!

If you’re staying in Houston for the holidays and want to make the most of your Thanksgiving Eve, come join us tomorrow for a very low-key but high-impact service day. We’ll be volunteering at Super Feast - the nation’s largest holiday feeding - hosted by City Wide Club, a nonprofit that serves vulnerable families all year through their chapters, providing meals, clothing, essentials, and hope to thousands across the country.

This year, AfroServe has the opportunity to partner intentionally with their mission by investing directly into our community’s well-being. We’re not just a racquet-sports social club that plays and enjoys a third-space together - we are a community committed to making real social change and showing up where it matters.

What we’ll be doing:
We’ll be helping with Thanksgiving Super Feast Prep: sorting & boxing food, organizing donated items, assembling meal kits, moving supplies, and supporting general event setup. It’s hands-on, meaningful work - and every task helps ensure families experience a warm and memorable holiday.

What to wear:
Please dress comfortably and appropriately for volunteer work:
• Athletic wear or casual clothes
• Closed-toe shoes (sneakers recommended)
• Light layers
• Optional: AfroServe merch to represent 🧡🎾

Family-friendly:
If you have children, bring them along! This is a safe, fulfilling volunteer experience and a beautiful way for kids to learn the power of serving others.

We’ll be there from 1-5 PM. You’re welcome to join for the whole time or just a couple of hours (1-3 PM or 3-5 PM). Whatever time you can give truly makes a difference.
