New West Quay and Pier Park Walks

Come join us for a walk and conversation, and meet other folks from New West and beyond!

New West Skytrain STN: Meet on the main floor ticket vending level by Safeway. We will leave at 6:00 pm SHARP.

The route is approx 5.5km (45 min to an hour walk depending on how fast folks want to walk):

Starting point - the New West Station
- Through the NW station to the McGinness Overpass
- Down the hill to the Quay boardwalk.
- Along the Fraser River to the end of the boardwalk
- Loop back to the boardwalk (includes approx 8 steps down here, but there is another option)
- Along the boardwalk to the Fraser River Discovery Centre
- Walk along Front St. and up the stairs to the walkway over the train tracks at 6th St (stairs can be avoided).
- Walk along the Pier Boardwalk
- Exiting Pier Park at 4th Street via the stairs or the elevator
- Walk along Columbia Street past Columbia Skytrain Station

Ending Point - New West Skytrain Station.

You can leave at any point along the way.

Optional - Depending on interest - WAVES is part way between Columbia and New West Stations, and we can always stop for something to drink and a chat until 7:55 pm as they close at 8:00.
