Disc Golf @ Mundy Park

WEATHER DEPENDENT - will be cancelled if rain or heavy winds are forecasted (or may be converted to an indoor board game activity, my other passion).

This event is for both Beginners and Experienced players (who are patient and willing to teach newbies). Disc Golf is a great mix of light physical exercise and social connection. There is no cost to use the course, but each player must have their own discs.

Disc golf is similar to traditional golf, but instead of balls and clubs, players use flying discs (similar to Frisbees) and aim for targets (usually metal baskets). The goal is to complete each hole in the fewest throws possible, starting from a tee area and continuing until the disc is in the basket. MEETING POINT: Practice basket, southeast of Foster Ave @ Hillcrest St or northeast of parking lot.

EQUIPMENT: Bring your own discs or I have some starter kits (new) for sale. $22 Innova Starter Kit: Leopard driver, Shark mid-range and Aviar putter. Each player must have their own discs (the same way golfers need their own balls).

TRAVEL: Easily accessible by vehicle or transit. Parking is limited during popular park times.

COURSE: 9 holes, partially shaded areas and easily walkable (flat).
