Chinese Food Crawl - Saturday Sept 13

Join us for a fun afternoon of authentic Chinese food. We will be tasting and exploring two of Richmond’s most famous Chinese food courts — Yaohan Centre and Parker Place.

Richmond is known for having some of the most authentic Chinese eats outside of Asia, with dishes ranging from handmade dumplings and street-style snacks to BBQ meats and bubble waffles.

Instead of dim sum, where everything comes from one menu, this event is about sampling a variety of dishes from different food court stalls.

How it works:

Part 1:
We start at Yaohan Centre, trying a selection of delicious dishes

Part 2:
We’ll walk 10 minutes to Parker Place and continue trying a selection of delicious treats.

How is food selected:

• Jennifer will order a mix of dishes (including vegetarian and non-vegetarian)
• I will pay for the dishes from the pooled $ contributions
• We will bring serving utensils for each dish
• Everyone will taste /sample the dishes together

What do you bring:

• Your own utensils
• Your own small container (for your tasting sample)
• You can also buy on your own additional food items on your own

• Bringing additional serving utensils could be helpful
• When the food is delivered, we may need 1 or 2 persons to help distribute the food etc..

This is a chance for you to discover dishes you might not normally try, learn about Richmond’s amazing food scene, and enjoy a social afternoon with friends.

Come hungry, bring your curiosity, and get ready to share a table full of flavours!

How to Participate:

$30 per person contribution (for shared food Jennifer selects, not for what you buy for yourself) This is a safe estimate, and if any excess cash, it will be refunded.

To attend, rsvp to attend and send an etransfer for $30 to me within 12 hours, yes, 12 hours or you will be moved to not going. You will see my etransfer email after pressing attend.
