Beginners' Pottery Workshop
Details
Current FLASH SALE pricing is $52.50 (inc. taxes) for the class. Regular pricing is $105.00. I have no idea when sale ends.
Have you ever wanted to throw a bowl or vase . . . at someone? First you have to make it.
Come join me at this beginners' workshop and learn to make a small bowl, cup, or vase. And remember, if it doesn't turn out, put a couple of grooves into it and it's an ashtray!
At the time this event is being first announced, the studio is having a flash sale. The sale is for classes being held throughout December, January, and February. I'm booking this event for February, just cause I need something to do next year. (Feel free to book a class whenever you want. You only need to register for this event if you want to join me on February 7, 2026.)
EVENT DESCRIPTION
This event is taking place at the Hand Eye Ceramics Studio in Chinatown.
It's a class for throwing on a pottery wheel. Their class description can be found in the link below. But to summarize:
Class is 2.5 hours plus about 15 minutes clean up time.
An instructor will guide us through the throwing process.
You will receive 1.5 lbs of clay.
They will glaze (white) the ashtray for you to pick up at a later date (up to 10 weeks later).
There is no guarantee your ashtray will survive the kiln process.
The pottery wheels are on the second floor. You must be able to do stairs to get there.
One guest is allowed for this event.
Make sure you sign up for the 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 7 class if you want to join this event.
