If you are 50 or older, working, retired and loving it, feeling young and staying active we welcome you to Age 50 and Beyond Social Events!
Here are some examples of activities** and events** you can enjoy:

- Adventure Activities
** Some events may have an additional fees
** Age 55+ and Age 60+ are meetup sub-groups and are both managed by our MAIN group, Age 50 and Beyond Social Events
Attending Events:
To attend any event you must be a paid member. No drop in's please.
Annual Membership Fees:
Equal to about the price of ONE average restaurant meal (food, drink, taxes, tip)$36*** (or $3 per month)
What value do you get for $36?
- You can attend a year of social events and activities making new friends, exploring new interests and sharing new experiences.
- You benefit from the services of each volunteer organizer who invest hundreds of hours per year dedicated to planning, posting and attending events
- Between now and June 30, 2025 your membership is valid until July 1, 2026

What do we use fees for?
All expenses incurred are for the group's shared entertainment and social benefit. They include items such as;
- Meetup Platform Subscription Costs.
- Surplus funds will be used to cover addtional expenses such as:
- Event supplies, party supplies, rental expenses, reservations deposits, tickets, some organizer expenses and gratuities, purchase of new and replacement boardgames and unanticipated expenses
Code of Conduct
We provide a fun community that is safe and welcoming. This is a social group and not a dating site. Unsolicited messages to members are not allowed. Treat everyone in a respectful and welcoming fashion. No bullying or harassment, or aggressive behaviour. Complaints could result in being banned.
Respect Volunteer Organizers:
They do their best and aim to deliver good value and great shared experiences. Please show respect to all the volunteer organizers for their time and effort.

What? Description is too short? Okay. Nero's Belgian Waffle Bar specializes in Brussels and Liege style waffles with foo foo toppings. Brussels style waffles are yummy.

This restaurant does not take reservations, and during busy times, will only seat people when the whole party has arrived. Please be a bit early and expect to wait for a table.
My No Show Policy (To be fair to other attendees and those on the waitlist who should be able to know by May 17 if they are able to go)
Registration for this event closes on May 16, 2025 at 11:59 PM. If you are registered OR on the waitlist, please remove yourself before that deadline if you cannot go. If you are on the waitlist, please check in the morning on May 17, to see if anyone has dropped out.
If you have not removed your name by 11:59 PM on May 16, and do not show up, you would be considered a No Show. (Removing yourself from attendance on May 17 or 18 is still considered a No Show).
If you are on the waitlist on May 16, it is expected that you be able to attend if a spot opens up. (Remove yourself from the waitlist by May 16 if you cannot.)
Excessive No Shows may be removed from future event attendance lists whenever there is a waitlist.
