OpenClaw has been generating a serious amount of buzz across the AI and agent‑building world recently. It promises something many people have been waiting for: the ability to rapidly spin up capable, tool‑using AI agents that can work across real software environments, not just chat in a box.

But most people have only seen the demos or read the think‑pieces.
This Agent Builders session is your chance to try it for yourself.

We’ll start with a short introduction to what OpenClaw is, what makes it different from the current crop of copilots and agent frameworks, and why so many builders are excited about the possibilities it opens up, from autonomous task execution to software interaction and workflow automation.

Then we’ll divide into small working groups where you’ll build and run your own OpenClaw instance in a safe space on a cloud-hosted Linux VM (supplied) and experiment with some basic real‑world uses together. The aim is to get past the hype and understand what this technology actually feels like to use: what works, what doesn’t, and where the real opportunities might be.

This is a practical, collaborative evening. The aim is not a polished end result but exploration. Work together, troubleshoot together and share what you discover along the way.

You will need to bring a laptop as most of the session will be hands‑on.
Relaxed tone. Curiosity is encouraged.
No one is expected to know all the answers.
