Connect with like minded Agile practitioners
Whether you are new to agile or have been on your agile journey for a while, this day offers you a chance to exchange experiences, explore new ideas, and share struggles with likeminded colleagues.
We will use two facilitated group techniques during the day: Event Storming and Open Space. Each is designed to create understandings to take away and can be
useful as techniques to be applied back at work.
Event Storming
A rapid, lightweight, and group modeling technique that is intense, fun, and useful for accelerating development teams. The brainchild of Alberto Brandolini, it's a synthesis of facilitated group learning practices from Gamestorming and the principles of domain-driven design (DDD).
The technique isn't limited to software development. You can apply it to practically any technical or business domain, especially those that are large, complex, or both.
Open Space
An Open Space meeting is participantdriven. It is a deceptively simple but
powerful. Open Space opens up the agenda creation process so that all those gathered can put forward ideas for sessions. Because the agenda is made live in real time it is direct relevance to those gathered the day.
OpenSpace is governed by the 'Law of Two Feet' that if at any time during our time together you find yourself in any situation where you are neither learning nor
contributing, use your two feet, go someplace else of interest in the OpenSpace.
