Tobias Mayer - Meta-practices for Agility

Details
This time we are happy hosting Tobias Mayer. Tobias is certainly one of the most inspirational people in the agile community. He started his own agile journey in 1998 when discovering XP, has been practicing Scrum since 2003, and in 2005 was among the first 25 people worldwide, certified to teach Scrum by Ken Schwaber, its co-founder.
✅⇢ About this Session
In the world of Agile coaching, consultancy, transformation there has always been a focus on frameworks, models, tools, techniques and other concepts and activities concerned with the immediate implementation of agility.
What is often missing is a sense of practice, and by this I do not mean the day to day practice of doing the work we need to do—although that as well—but something more like meta-practice, ways of engaging that encompass not only the action of doing but a spirit of being.
This session, a blend of presentation and group dialog, will explore five meta-practices that have been vital to my own understanding and practice when engaged as a change agent of one sort or another. I believe them to be important ideas for the field of organisational transformation as a whole.
✅⇢ About Tobias
Tobias' journey includes amazing stations, one of them serving for 2 years as "Human Systems Architect" (as he called it) at Yahoo's headquarters in 2013. And he went on elaborating the magic and nature of human beings, facilitating deep & skillful interactions.
Tobias draws on over thirty years experience in the fields of group facilitation, social service, technical theatre, graphic design, software development, theology, organizational restructuring and individual counseling.
He calls himself an explorer of human relationships. He is a writer, mentor, teacher and speaker. Tobias is committed to the liberation of the corporate workplace, and to that end, spends a lot of time thinking, talking and writing on personal responsibility, grassroots initiative and compassionate confrontation.
He is the author of "The People's Scrum". And this session will certainly be an extraordinary experience.
