Michael Spayd on "How Do We Make Sense of Agile Transformations?"

Details
Michael Spayd will be presenting at this Agile Coaching Circles Meetup!
The way that we make sense in a transformation -- individually as coaches & transformation leaders, as well as collectively as organizations wanting a fundamental change -- makes all the difference in terms of what happens. Our sensemaking can either be conscious and intentional, or unconscious and habitual. The latter gets us the same results we've always gotten, while the former can unlock a whole new world. In this talk and discussion, we will explore the overall topic of sensemaking, as well as two specific examples of sensemaking frameworks, with an idea of how we might use them. I hope you'll join me for a lively discussion!
About Michael Spayd
-----------------------------
Michael’s one-word purpose can be summed up as “transformation.” Since his teenage years, he has been drawn to working with systems of all kinds in a transformative and healing manner. Over time, he has learned a deep respect for the energetic field emerging around any system, it’s deep knowing, and his own profound “not knowing” in the face of this intelligence. Becoming a “hollow bone” helps one to become truly useful. Michael co-founded (with Lyssa Adkins) the Agile Coaching Institute, where he created the Agile Coaching Competency Framework. Subsequently, he introduced Integral thinking to the Agile world through early drafts of his book, which was eventually published as Agile Transformation: Using the Integral Agile Transformation Framework to Think and Lead Differently (coauthored) in 2020.
