A value stream map (VSM) makes it easy to visualize the full process used to design, produce, sell and deliver services that provide value to customers. In a VSM session, functional teams post their group’s work and information flow so that everyone is able to see, understand and suggest improvements to the making of the product or service.
The aim is for the work to flow better for customers and to make it easier for employees to complete the work profitably and safely.
