Unite content skills and agile methods to improve people’s lives
It’s time to bring content into the digital age. Across corporations, charities and the government, digital teams are discovering that effective content is essential to experiences that work for users. Instead of performing outdated functions like “publishing information”, today’s content professionals combine their skills with agile methods from the world of product design. That means creating prototypes quickly, testing with users and learning from feedback—while working closely with colleagues in design, development and research. The end result? Digital services that are simple, clear and fast. And the chance to use your content skills to improve people’s lives. This meetup is for content professionals from across industries who want to use content to improve people’s lives. You’ll: • hear case studies from organisations like the BBC, the Government Digital Service, Global Radio and Breast Cancer Care • apply agile methods to content in a hands-on workshop • meet like-minded content professionals to share experiences and network ABOUT THE PRESENTER Jonathan Kahn created Agile Content Conf in 2015 and since then has trained hundreds of content professionals to apply agile methods to digital content. He organises the London Agile Content Meetup (over 2000 members) and has presented at content conferences internationally, including Confab in Minneapolis, Content Strategy Forum in Cape Town, and EuroIA in Rome. SCHEDULE • 18:00 arrive & check in • 18:15 welcome activity including facilitated networking • 18:30 presentations start • 19:30 break • 19:45 hands-on workshop: how to unite content skills and agile methods • 20:30 informal networking
