More of You, Not Less: Unlocking Creativity in the Age of AI
How to learn, evaluate and create with AI so that it strengthens your abilities instead of replacing them
—
Most conversations about AI and creativity are negative. People worry that AI makes us lazy, that it makes everyone's ideas look the same, and that our skills fade as we use it. Research shows that these risks are real, especially when we hand our thinking over to AI. This session explores the alternative. We will use AI to learn *just enough* of the skills we lack, so that we can build what we imagine, and to become better judges of quality, because AI has no taste of its own. We will also look at simple techniques that move AI away from its generic first answers. Throughout, we separate delegation from augmentation: we delegate the work that drains us, and we use AI to augment the work we love and are good at. Most courses teach you to write better prompts. This talk focuses on what is usually missed: evaluating, iterating, and training yourself to be a better judge. The examples come from everyday life, and no technical background is needed.

Description of this series
Agile didn’t promise speed. It promised sustainability.
The original Agile Movement was never about pumping out code at breakneck speed. It was about building robust, adaptable software and creating healthier, human-centred workplaces. It promised autonomy, trust, and environments where people were empowered to make meaningful decisions.
For the most part, we missed that mark.
Over the last two decades, workers were subjected to micromanagement, rigid tools, and metric tracking. Managers, too, were trapped in a system few truly understood. While delivery pipelines improved, the human potential latent within our organisations remained largely untapped.

Join us to explore how we can finally fulfil the original promise of Agile—creating exceptional products in truly human-centric environments.
