I once told someone that I don’t focus on accumulating titles. Instead, I focus on building skills. Their response: “That’s easy to say with an executive title.” Fair point. But, the truth is I never had a career ladder checklist that got me the executive title. I have always focused on being able to step in and help.

Career growth is often framed around titles. However, long-term impact is driven by the skills and capabilities individuals build over time. This session challenges traditional career progression models by focusing on skill development as the foundation for growth. Through personal insights and practical reflection, you will explore how building skills can open new opportunities, increase your impact, and shape a more adaptable, tomorrow-ready career.
