Food and drink from 5-5:30. Come early!

Human-Centered AI presents a hands-on workshop in Critical AI Literacy. Bring your laptop and something you're actually working on. Together, we'll run through a series of 3 tests that will check whether your LLM is invisibly:

  1. Telling you what you want to hear
  2. Giving confident responses that aren't backed by evidence
  3. Leaving out important details

Your work can stay confidential! The tests work regardless of domain and will reveal more than you're expecting. Even if you have your responses "locked down" with a facts-only system prompt, you'll learn more about the potential fallibility of the systems your work is based on.

We will follow with a facilitated discussion about how the product design choices made by foundation model companies keep us engaged, sometimes at our own expense. Then we'll explore various techniques to shore up your defenses and create more reliable and robust workflows and systems.

About the Human-Centered AI group:

Navigate AI's Impact — Without the Hype
For busy software and product leaders, staying ahead of AI means more than chasing tools. Our monthly AI Special Interest Group cuts through the noise to explore what actually matters: how AI is reshaping collaboration, product strategy, leadership, and organizational change.

This isn't a technical meetup. We skip the algorithms and implementation details to focus on the human systems that determine whether AI adoption succeeds or fails — collaborative learning, strategic thinking, ethical design, cross-functional alignment, and adaptive leadership.

What to expect: Each session features an expert speaker, small-group discussions, and practical takeaways you can use immediately.
Connect with experienced peers who share your challenges. Leave with new ways to think, not just tools to buy. Build the confidence to lead responsibly through uncertainty.
