Synopsis

John will show a natural development of the Cumulative Flow Diagram from the Kanban Board and the Burndown Chart. He then points out things we can measure and the likely causes of common Patterns to be seen on CFDs. He will show a number of common patterns found in software development. Finally he has a number of CFDs taken from his teams for you to interpret in a workshop.

Bio

John has been an Agile Coach with Sainsburys since 2018 and is working with co-located and split-offshore teams on software development, and with a team of coaches on the bigger picture.

He has been an Agile Coach and Scrum Master since 2014. He promotes agility rather than agile frameworks, and devops rather than deployment teams.

From 1999 to 2014 he was a software developer, working on finance, payments, EPOS and product systems.

Before that he has been showroom manager, telesales, doorstep delivery, factory quality inspector and also served in the Royal Air Force.
