#32 Dealing with Challenges
Details
Dear Agile Dresden community,
Yes, we are still alive and we have an excellent idea how to prove that: Conducting a next onsite Meetup! And again, we are very grateful and happy to announce that our reliable partner Ostec will kindly host our event once more. Thanks a lot for your constant support!
To make it a beneficial event, we decided to come up with the motto “Dealing with Challenges”, as we know a lot of things are challenging these days - on completely different levels and in various contexts.
Starting with a very sensitive and special topic, we are glad to announce Sarah Zinn providing us with an impulse talk on how to provide resources and meaningful support to your team in times of crisis:
“Most people are not prepared for tragedy. And since grief can´t conveniently be turned off from 9 to 5, it will make its way to offices, construction sites and classrooms. When we understand there is a strong link between grief and work performance, we can take steps to help employees and colleagues to prepare for and move through times of crisis and to make them feel supported.”
In addition there’s room for discussing some challenges you or your teams are currently dealing with. So please bring your topics for the open sessions!
Ostec will also care for our comfort and provide us with some snacks and drinks. Please bring some cash to pay for beverages at the honesty box.
Currently, we do not have to ask for a mandatory COVID test, but we strongly recommend to test yourself individually before participating in the event. Please decline to participate if you feel unwell or ill.
As usual, we might take pictures during the event to be potentially used for our Meetup group (Meetup, Xing, LinkedIn) and for the web page of our host.
And we will also continue to hold the event in English or German depending on what might be the most convenient option to involve each participant.
So let’s summarize the key facts here:
The event in short:
- Impulse talk by our guest speaker Sarah Zinn
- followed by Barcamp-style open sessions, 30 minutes each
- getting in touch and having chats with community members
- English or German language, depending on the participants
Things you’ll need:
- an open mindset and respect for individual wishes on social distancing
- potential topics you want to discuss and which refer to our motto “Dealing with Challenges”
- some cash to pay at the honesty box for beverages Ostec provides us with
- a voluntary COVID self-test before you attend
We're excited to meet you in person and curious what subjects you’ll bring.
See you soon!
