Viktor E. Frankl says: "Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom."

In this Empathy @ Work workshop on Expressing Gratitude, we explore how we can regain awareness of being grateful and how to choose to express that to the other in a way that is easier for the other to hear and let it sink in.

In this workshop, we explore how we can learn to make a conscious decision on how to express our gratitude toward the other in a way that strengthens the connection.

The core learning of Empathy @ Work we want to convey is to be inspired to speak the most truth we have access to with the most care we have capacity for. Because that does take individuals, teams, and organisations forward.

In this meetup, we focus on speaking truth (which can be a vulnerable choice) while expressing gratitude. This meetup builds on top of the talk at ScanAgile. However, expressing gratitude is an independent topic and the session is constructed so that it can be attended with no prior experience on Empathy @ Work sessions.

The facilitators are Sofia Katsaouni and Aki Salmi, who are passionate about helping individuals to grow into forming real teams to solve the issues we face in IT. Sofia works as an Agile Coach, while Aki is a programmer / Technical Agile Coach.

Host is Jaakko Oittinen from Solita.

Note that this is a physical event at Eteläesplanadi 8, and no remote participation is possible.

The registration opens one week before at 12:00.

You are welcome at 17:30 and we will start working at 17:45. Official program ends around 19:15 and there'll be an opportunity to mingle and network until 20:00. Some snacks are also available.

Welcome!
