Introduction to Coaching

This session is a great place for new people to join in and get a better understanding of what coaching is and what it can do for you. For experienced coaches, this is an opportunity to reflect on what coaching means to you and how other coaches think as well as to practice the fine art of coaching.

We'll get back to the preliminary questions:
- What is coaching all about?
- What does coaching mean to you?
- What would you like to know about coaching?
- And most importantly, how to do coaching within your company, with your friends or relatives?

The session will be a combination of facilitated discussion and coaching exercises. We will do multiple coaching exercises where one person coaches another with an observer. The exercise format will be walked through in detail.

The host is Tuula Johansson from Gofore.
The facilitator is Pascal Papathemelis.

About our facilitator

Pascal started having coaching conversations in 2012 and by time he became passionate about coaching. He has been a regular participant and organiser of the coaching circles during 2014-2023. Since 2021 he is a certified professional coach and up to now he has coached about 60 people and has close to 400 hours of professional coaching. He is currently a member of the board at the finish chapter of the International Coaching Federation.

Participation

Note that this is a physical event at the Gofore premises and no remote participation is possible.

You are welcomed at 17:15 and we will start working at 17:45. There will be a break about half way.

We encourage everyone to keep their RSVP up to date. Life happens, and if, for some reason you cannot attend to the event, please, update your confirmation at the event's Meetup page, so those on the waiting list may have a chance to participate!

Our monthly Coaching Circles are a safe and collaborative space for all members of the community and participants of the events to share their experiences, tools and more. We gather every month, to explore a different topic.
