What we’re about
We’re a group of agilists who want to offer our skills and some of our time to help world-improving organizations have more impact.
Once a month we meet to share experiences and support each other, but most importantly meet with organizations who can use our help.
Although it says Stockholm, these meetups are online.

Welcome to Agile for Good, the meetup where agilists and world improving organizations come together to maximize their positive impact.
In this online lunch session, we'll meet Suryansh, founder of Future Impact Group. They're an organization accelerating promising early- and mid-career talent into impactful research careers within AI safety by matching them with project leads who could use part-time support on their projects.
With the current wave of massive investments in AI development, the risk of developing an uncontrollable AI is rapidly increasing. Meanwhile, the effort spent on AI safety research is only a fraction of that spent on its development. Experts consider Future Impact Group's approach the problem to be very promising. Thus, any help we can give them is a very welcome contribution.
Suryansh would like to have some of our advice relating to capacity and work load distribution:
-"Currently, we run application rounds in seasonal cycles (e.g. autumn, spring), which means that our work is very intensely focused in some months as we do outreach for project leads, marketing, and application evaluations (including interviews) with extremely high volume over a few months, and then do much less for the next few months. It's hard to smooth this out while keeping the seasonal cycles. I'm considering switching to a model in which we have much smaller, more frequent batches of projects."We would be so happy if you join this session and chip in your two cents in how to make FIG have a more sustainable, evenly distributed work load!
Agenda:
- 11.45 CET: Drop in, meet and greet. A nice way to ease yourself into the meetup, but highly optional.
- 12.00 CET: Meeting start/ presentation round - Let's get introduced!
- 12.05 CET: Problem solving time - Your time to shine! Suryansh will give a brief presentation of FIG and the challenges they face. We'll collaborate on finding solutions in the session - hopefully offering some valuable ideas within our limited time frame.
Anyone interested in giving continued support to Future Impact Group going forward will have the opportunity to exchange contact details.
- 12.55 CET: Evaluation and wrap-up.
As usual, we use the law of two feet: feel free to join and go as it works for you and of course also to eat during the meeting as it is lunch time in Sweden/Central Europe!
Looking so much forward to seeing you!
