What we’re about
‘Agile In Education UK’ exists to promote, encourage and explore the adoption of agile thinking and techniques within schools, colleges and other learning environments.
Are you intrigued or excited by the immense possibilities of applying agile thinking to the education of our young people (and older ones too)?
Are you passionate about harnessing the power of Scrum, Kanban, Visual Thinking, Lean and other agile frameworks and techniques in an educational context?
Or would you simply like to know a little bit more about the 'movement' that has, over the last 20 years, revolutionised the way businesses operate and discover how similar ideas could have far reaching implications within education?
The group is open to and welcomes anyone with a curiosity, interest or passion around how we (children, pupils, students, teachers, tutors, parents) might benefit from the adoption of an agile way of thinking in our schools and at home.
Through regular and frequent online meet-ups we will share expertise and experiences covering all things agile. We will explore how frameworks and techniques such as Scrum and Visual Thinking can be applied effectively within schools, colleges and other learning environments to enhance the effectiveness and enjoyment of learning for everyone.
For deeper discussions on the subject please join the Agile In Education LinkedIn Group.
My newly launched personal blog on all things agile can be found at agileineducation.co.uk - it will include a resource section which hopefully will be of value to group members. There's an introduction to Agile Thinking and Scrum for those who are new to the concept.
