We are teaming up with another local technology meetup this time, CodeHarbour. The topic themes are Remote Working and Security, so don't miss out!

Remotely Interesting by Chrissy Garnett

This is a case study from Holiday Extras on our Bulgarian and UK remote teams over the last 18 months.

We'll be sharing the change curve in attitudes and how not only the scrum masters had to get used to remote workers, but the dev team had to get used to remote pair programming.
We'll be delving into the challenges we faced and the changes for the better.

Warden - Helping Drupal Agencies Sleep at Night by Mike Davis

Do you currently have a large number of sites, hosted with multiple hosting companies that you need to keep track of?
Do you have sites that you may be in need to security updates but you haven't had time to investigate?
Do you wish there was a central dashboard reporting which sites needed security updates applied?

If any of these questions resonate with you then this talk is for you!

Keeping your sites up to date with the latest security releases is very important in this modern climate. However, it can be quite time consuming checking each of your sites each time a security update is released to see if they need security updates applied.

In this session I will be talking about Warden - our open source system which helps to manage your sites security. I will be demoing how it works and how easy it is to see which sites need security updates, saving your team time and focusing them on the work that they need to do. I will also be discussing best practice for site security and the importance of making sure that all your developers are aware of it.

Schedule for the night:
7:00 - 7:30 - Pizza, drinks and mingling
7:30 - 8:00 - Remotely Interesting by Chrissy Garnett
8:00 - 8:15 - Intermission
8:15 - 8:45 - Warden - Helping Drupal Agencies Sleep at Night by Mike Davis
8:45 - 9:00 - Discussion and socialising

If you could please RSVP to this event (rather than the codeHarbour one) that will help us get the numbers right for food.

Please note: Not all of this is Agile focus, but it will all be interesting, and a great opportunity to meet like-minded people in Kent.

For more details about the event, how to get to The Gulbenkian and more, check out the Code Harbour website at http://codeharbour.co.uk/
