'Born Agile - Returning to our Natural Agility' - with Alistair Corrie
Our brains naturally work in an Agile way, but 4,000 years of bureaucracy have interfered with innovation, decision-making, and collaboration. In this session we will find out how to return to our Naturally Agile state.
Learning Objectives
- “We don’t need to teach people to be agile, we need to stop teaching them not to be.”
- We will look at what types of interference we experience to the way we naturally approach things, and how to remove those blockers so we can deliver value with grace and flow.
Personal Bio - Alistair Corrie
Alistair began his working life as a Chartered Accountant, but always felt there was a more obvious and less bureaucratic way of delivering an outcome. He came across Agile in 2017 and never looked back. Here was an agreed way of doing things which confirmed what he had been trying to do all his life.
Now Alistair is uncovering the Elements which make us Naturally Agile so that we don't replace the old bureaucracy with the new bureaucracy and dogma exhibited by some of the agile frameworks. To this end he has published The Key Elements for Business Agility. It details what we can do differently on a day to day basis to increase the flow of ideas between brains and reduce risk while delivering high quality outcomes. It comes with his work and life examples of how he made it work.
