Product Innovation: Crowd vs Expert Product Ideation & Discovery- Dave Sharrock

Details

Product innovation is tough. If you’re just following (closing the gap on) your competitors, how do you stay close with your competition? If you’re the market leader, how do you get ahead of the market? If you want to create the market, how can you uncover the next unanticipated product?

This discussion centers on innovation. The difference between product innovation and process innovation. Starting with ideas around product ideation and discovery, challenging us to think about ideation and discovery in terms of what we can learn from experts and crowds. We will look at different approaches to understanding requirements and uncovering unarticulated needs - those unknown unknowns that make strong product offerings so compelling.
