EVENT BACKGROUND
Digital sustainability is a rising issue, with emissions from ICT responsible for approx 4% of global greenhouse gases, and figures in the industry set to rise exponentially due to our ever growing reliance on technology and data. The growth of sustainable software engineering, and green ops is an excellent sign that our developers and technologists are taking this seriously. But where is the corresponding increase in green and sustainable digital product meetups, conferences, books and ways of working?
Our international research project set out to determine exactly what is the current state of sustainability in digital products? Where does digital sustainability come into consideration in the digital product lifecycle and what barriers do we need to overcome to increase digital product sustainability?
Join us online or in person for the reveal of this critical research. We look forward to seeing you there!
