Agile is King. But is it legally safe? On February 26, 2026, we invite you to the Agile Community Meetup at Cloudflight in Linz to ask exactly this uncomfortable question.
Our speaker Sebastian Dietrich will shake things up with his talk "Is Agile Legal?"
About the talk:
The talk is aimed at both employees and freelancers. In principle, it is about creating awareness of the legally and technically problematic area in which agile projects and freelancers operate. We all believe we deliver good software using agile techniques - at least better than with Waterfall, etc. However, our definition of "good" is rarely that of the client and almost never that of the court. If a dispute arises, it often becomes very expensive - far more than the project revenue is at stake, and thus often the survival of IT companies. Yet, only small details are needed to create legally and technically good software in the sense of the client and the court.
